Job Summary:
As a Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible for designing and deploying highly complex network and security solutions to meet advanced business requirements, and/or improve overall performance. You will be responsible for configuring, supporting and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, network appliances, etc. As well as delivering complex technical support to customers, internal systems, and others by using effective techniques and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex network systems, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Configure and maintain network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Perform network capacity planning and analysis to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Lead network-related projects, from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level environments.
- Extensive experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, and other networking hardware.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network security principles and practices, including firewall management, IDS/IPS, and VPN.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
